Competition/race rules and regulations | (1) These rules conform to the Japan Athletics Federation Road Race Rules of 2017(2) If you do not wear the runner's timer chip, you will be disqualified(3) The public timekeeping record will be based on the order ranking of reaching the finish from the start and not the time ranking(4) In the case that a judge/official recommends that the race not proceed, a participant may be prevented from continuing.(5) The race and the race time may be subject to change or cancellation depending on the weather or other factors.(6) Entry fee will not be refunded if the race is cancelled or changed due to earthquake, floods, snow storm, accident, incident, epidemic or other circumstance.(7) The time limit for the full marathon is 6 hours and a cut-off point will be applied. If you don't reach the deisgnated point within the allocated time limit, you will be cut off from continuing the race.(8) The 19km run has a time limit of 70 minutes. After that time, the race will finish and the roads will be opened up to the public, and participants will be cut off. Participants must follow the directions of race staff.(9) During the race, you may be stopped due to traffic condition, or to allow cars to pass. Please follow the direction of race staff.(10) As a general rule, runners must keep to the left side of the road. |
Points to note | Obligations/Responsibilities of participants(1) Participants are to get medical clearance from a doctor(2) Participants are to enter one category, and a participant is found to have entered in multiple categories, they will be considered as an Open participant.(3) Sports accident insurance will be entered into by the race organisers. In the event of an accident or injury during the race, emergency first aid measures will be taken, but the race organiser takes no responsbility for any claims or expenses beyond the scope of the insurance coverage.(4) There will be a luggage minding service available on the day. However you are responsible for valuables and personal belongings.Please understand that the race organization committee does not accept any responsibility for lost items or belongings. |
Terms and conditions | Application terms and conditionsIn registering for this event, participants agree to comply with the below terms and conditions.(1) No changes or cancellations will be permitted after registration due to the fault of the individual. Fees will not be refunded nor the difference given.(2) The race organiser will make a judgment as to whether the event is cancelled or changed, in the event of an earthquake, wind or loof damage, snow, accident, incident, epidemic or other circumstances. The participation fee will not be refunded.(3) I do not have any heart disease or health issues that would affect my participation. I will train sufficiently for the event. I participate at my own risk to health, accident or injury.(4) I agree to comply with instructions and directions of race staff in the event that the race is cancelled during the event or the event is discontinued. I will follow any directions given by the safety management personnel or event operations staff.(5) I do not object to any first aid/emergency medical response that may be given to me in the event of an accident, injury or illness during the race. I will not question the method, progress nor will I hold the race organisers responsible for any treatment or actions given.(6) I exempt the race organisers from any liabilty and I will not make any claims for damages against them in the event of injury, accident or loss.(7) I understand that any compensation for any accident or injuries during the event, will be as per covered within the scope of the insurance coverage provided by the race organisers.(8) My family, relatives, parents/guardian (in the event of a minor), other team members (in the event of a representative) are aware and consent to my participation in this event.(9) I have not made any false declaration regarding my personal information such as age, gender, and will not have a substitute participate on my behalf. If it is discovered that a proxy/substitute has replaced the applicant, I will accept the decision of the race organiser including disqualification, elimiation, cancellation of participation from the event and possible future events. In addition, I acknowledge that the race organisers are not responsible for any aid, refund etc of the proxy substitute runner.(10) I agree that I may appear in photos, articles, reports, records (including my name, image, gender, age etc), and may be printed and published in the media including newspapers, TV, magazines, pamphlets, websites etc. In addition, the right and use of such information and images remain the right of the race organiser.(11) The handling of personal information of participants will be in accordance of the privacy and personal information policy of the race organiser separately prescribed.(12) In addition, to agreeing to the above terms and conditions, I will also comply with the race convention rules seprately specified by the race organiser (in the event of inconsistency, the race convention rules will apply). |
Handling of personal information | The race organisers acknowledge the importance of personal information and strictly observe the relevant laws and regulations related to the handling of personal information, and handles information in accordance with its own personal information protection policy. For the purpose of improving the service provided to participants in the event, information will be used for participation guidance, time records (rankings), event notices that may be issued to participants, and provision of services from related organisations/sponsors. Personal information may be used by the race organiser to contact participants. |
Other notes | (1) The race venue will have free taping and massage service available(2) Participants must bring their their health insurance card or a copy of their health insurance card.(3) Please return the runner's timer chip after the race. If you lose it, we will charge the cost of a replacement. |
