This is the first Imperial Palace run event for 2017. The start and finish line will begin at the southern end of the Imperial Palace at the Sakurada Gate.
The course is a 5km loop around the Imperial Palace. Race options are 5km (one lap) for individuals or 30km (6 laps) as a team of 4. There are no changes rooms or luggage storage facilities, so please use the nearby running station facilities.
The Tokyo Imperial Palace 5km loop in the heart of Tokyo, is Japan's most famous and popular running route. Hundreds of people flock to its sidewalk everyday. It is a spectacular scenic running course taking in the Imperial Palace, art museums, historical architecture, Tokyo Tower, nature and other sightseeing points of interest.

| Race Rules and Points to note | - At the opening ceremony, all participants can enter the Scissors, Paper, Rock contest - One prize will be awarded at the opening ceremony of the 30km race, and two prizes at the opening ceremony for the other race categories(Mystery prize!) - Please gather at the starting point 5 minutes prior to the race start time - The starting schedule may vary depending on wave starts - For the 20KM relay, if the 3rd runner doesn't not return within the 2hr time limit, the 4th runner may start the final leg (ie a "catch-up" start) - In the case of a "catch-up start, the time recorded willl be a reference time only, and the team will not be eligible for prizes - Changes to team members is possible, if declared. However, if the team has less than 4 members, the time recorded will be a reference time only and the team will not be eligible for prizes - 30Km race (6 laps): Runners who have exceeded 3 hours on their 5th lap will be disallowed from finishing - Whilst you are free to run beyond the 5th lap, runners continue at their own risk and no responsbility will be accepted. Event staff and all timing will end at 12 noon. - There are no changing rooms or luggage storage - Please use nearby running station facilities instead - You are responsible for valuables and personal belongings - Please understand that the race organization committee does not accept any responsibilities for lost items or belongings - If the award ceremony is cancelled due to bad weather, we will post out to the relevant recipients at a later date - The setting up of tents and tarps (grounds sheets) is prohibited in the vicinity of the Sakuradamon race start area. - For the relay: please run in the order as per the race bib number which has been determined in advance - Please proceed to the designated relay ribbon-passing (baton passing) area. You cannot pass the relay ribbon to the next member mid-course outside of the designated area - If there are any changes to the relay team members or a team is short a team member due to unforeseen circumstances, please notify the race organiser headquarters and follow their instructions - If the race is cancelled or in case of urgent updates regarding the race, details will be posted on the race website by 5pm the day before |

| Terms and Conditions | All participants must agree to all the below terms and conditions of the race in order to participate in this event. *Not available in English. Please enter in Japanese. 大会申込者は、下記大会規約すべての項目に同意をして参加しなければなりません。 大会エントリーをされた方は下記大会規約すべての項目に同意をしたとして扱われます。 1.自己都合による申込後の種目変更、キャンセルはできません。また、過剰入金・重複入金の返金はいたしません。 2.大会申込者は、地震・風水害・降雪・事件・事故・疫病等による大会開催前の中止決定、開催内容の縮小および、開始後の途中中止のいずれにおいても参加料は返金されないことを了承します。また、中止等に至った場合、主催者は参加賞の配布及び完走証発行など可能な対応します。ただし、状況により参加賞配布や完走証発行が出来ない場合がありますので、この点においても大会申込者は主催者の判断および決定に従います。 3.大会申込者は、心疾患・疾病等なく、健康に留意し、十分なトレーニングをして大会に臨みます。傷病、事故、紛失等に対し、自己の責任において大会に参加します。 4.大会申込者は、大会開催中に主催者より競技続行に支障があると判断された場合、主催者の競技中止の指示に直ちに従います。また、その他、主催者の安全管理・大会運営上の指示に従います。 5.大会申込者は、大会開催中に傷病が発生した場合、応急手当を受けることに異議ありません。その方法、経過等について、主催者の責任を問いません。 6.大会申込者は、天候の急変や会場周囲で発生した火災等を含む緊急事態を含むあらゆる事態による、大会開催中の事故、紛失、傷病等に関し、主催者の責任を免除し、損害賠償等の請求を行いません。 7.大会申込者は、大会開催中の事故・傷病への補償は大会側が加入した保険の範囲内であることを了承します。 8.大会申込者の家族・親族、保護者（参加者が未成年の場合）は、本大会への参加を承諾しています。 9.年齢・性別等の虚偽申告、申込者本人以外の出場（代理出走）はいたしません。それらが発覚した場合、出場・表彰の取り消し、次回以降の資格はく奪等、主催者の決定に従います。また、主催者は、虚偽申告・代理出走者に対して一切の責任を負いかねます。 10.大会申込者は、大会の映像・写真・記事・記録等（において氏名・年齢・性別・記録・肖像等の個人情報）が新聞・テレビ・雑誌・インターネット・パンフレット等に報道・掲載・利用されることを承諾します。当該大会の映像・写真・記事・記録等の掲載権・使用権は主催者に属します。 11.大会申込者の個人情報の取扱いは、別途記載する主催者の規約に則ります。 12.リレーはチーム編成とし、走順・周回数は自由とします。チームは一般男子、一般男女混合などの種別があります。 男女混合は最低1名以上女子の参加が条件です。ペアリレーの組合せは男女、男子、女子などの種目があります。ペアリレー男女の種目に男子のみ、女子のみで出走することはできません。大会当日を含め、このことが判明した場合、参加者は大会主催者の指示に従っていただきます。 13.リレーは1人最低1周以上走り、次走者にリレーします。1人何周走っても構いません。ただし、全チームメンバーは最低1回の走行を条件とします。 14.たすきリレーは決められたゾーン内で行って下さい。 15.コースの途中でタスキをリレーする事はできません。 16.代理出走は認められません。 17.機械計測の場合、タイム計測及び周回チェックは計測チップを使用します。その為、ランナーの皆様は必ず、計測チップが装着されているか確認の上、出走してください。また、大会参加者は、この計測チップが一時的に大会主催者より貸与されていることを理解し、大会当日に返却しなかった場合、後日大会事務局へ郵送等により返却することを誓約します（送料は参加者負担）。なお、計測チップを紛失した場合はその理由の如何にかかわらず大会事務局からの請求に従い、12,000 円の支払いをすることにより弁償することに同意します。 18.主催者は、カメラマンを配置して参加者の走行時や表彰の様子などを撮影、その写真を閲覧または販売するサービスを行う場合があります。また、このサービスは確実に全参加者の撮影を保証するものではなく、撮影ができなかったことに関する一切の責務は主催者にはないものとします。 19.参加者は、本大会に出場するに当たり、公序良俗に反する以下の行為を行わないことに同意し、主催者が本規約に違反していると判断した場合は、直ちに競技出場を禁止され、直ちに会場外へ退出することに従わなければならなりません。 また、この処分を受けても、エントリー料金は一切返金されないことにあらかじめ参加者は同意します。 1）上半身および下半身裸、またはそれに近い恰好で出場すること 2）奇声を発したり、他参加者へ脅威を与えるような言動を行う行為 3）出場するにあたり、不要かつ他参加者へ脅威を与えるような物を会場に持ち込み、または身に着ける行為 4）上記各項に類するあらゆる行為。 20.大会主催者が、サービスまたは販売物として参加者へアルコール飲料を提供する場合、参加者は、飲酒運転、年齢制限および他人への迷惑行為について当然のことながら、自己責任でルールを守らなければなりません。大会主催者は一切この件について責を負わないことに参加者は同意します。 21.大会に際しては大会ルールを厳守して、参加者の皆様が安全にレースができ、楽しめる大会になるようご協力ください。 |
