A round-trip course to Shurijo Castle. At Shurijo Castle, there will be a donation ceremony and walking tour. You will be able to see the reconstruction up close. As there are uphill climbs, we recommend that cycling beginners use eBikes (electric bicycles). [Long Seaside Course 160km]December 8, 2024(Sun) start:YonaKohama Park *10-20 people leave every 5 minutes from 7:00(first group). This is a clockwise course along the coast in the southern and central areas of Okinawa, where the scenery changes one after another and the atmosphere differs from region to region. Recommended for advanced cyclists who want to challenge 100 miles (160 km). [Southern Circuit Course 70km]December 8, 2024(Sun) start:YonaKohama Park *10-20 people leave every 5 minutes from 8:00(first group). This is a course that circles around the southern part of the area with a stop at Shuri Castle on the way. As there are some ups and downs, beginners are recommended to use eBikes (electric bicycles). [Sunrise Course 30km]December 9, 2024(Mon) start:YonaKohama Park(10:00) This course follows the route recommended by the East Coast Sunrise Promotion Council (Yonabaru Town, Nishihara Town, Nakagusuku Village, and Kitanakagusuku Village), which promotes cycling tourism with the aim of revitalizing the East Coast region! Beginners are welcome to join this tour. |

Event agreement | I, the undersigned, pledge to do the following in order to participate in the tournament. 1.I pledge to comply with all regulations, precautions, and instructions set forth by the tournament organizers. 2.I pledge that I will participate in the event at my own risk and will take all due care in managing my own safety and health, and that I will immediately stop participating in the event should I experience any physical or other health problems. 3.I am aware of the risks involved in cycling, and I hereby release all persons involved in the event of any injury, permanent injury or death resulting from such injury or death, regardless of the cause, while participating in the event or any of the ancillary events. I also confirm and accept that my liability is limited to the extent of the accident insurance coverage provided for the event. Therefore, I pledge that I will not make any claim for myself or any of my family members, guardians, or other related parties for any injury or damage to my bicycle or any other property that I may suffer. 4.I take full responsibility for my personal property and equipment during the event and its ancillary events. 5.In the event that I am injured, have an accident, or become ill during the event, I agree that appropriate treatment will be given to me and I will not object to the method or outcome of such treatment. 6.I pledge that I will not pursue the organizer for any responsibility when the event is cancelled or is changed due to reasons beyond the control of the organizer, such as worsening weather conditions or poor environment, or if I am prevented from participating in the event due to loss or damage of equipment, and I will not claim payment of any participation fee or other expenses incurred for the event. 7.I will cooperate with measures to prevent infectious diseases. 8.I authorize the media (various news and information organizations) to freely use my name, photograph, video, etc. in commercial secondary uses such as broadcasting (terrestrial, BS, CS, etc.), telecasting, DVD production, etc., and in websites, publications (including for sale), and printed materials produced by the organizers of the event and the governing athletic organizations. 9.I swear that all the information on the tournament registration form is true and correct. I also swear that I and my parent(s)/guardian(s) understand and agree to the terms and conditions of the tournament, and that I have completed and signed the required information. 10.Use of Personal Information Collected from Participants 11.The personal information you provide will only be used to distribute event materials. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose than to organize the event. However, we may ask you to fill out a questionnaire after the event, or send you information related to the next Okinawa Cycling Event. |
Notice | Event Rules 1.This event is not a race (not a speed competition). This is a bike ride event for fun. 2. While on the course, you must strictly observe national traffic laws and regulations unless directed otherwise by police. (Example: stop when necessary, stop at red lights, observe left lane traffic, prohibition of parallel driving, turning on headlights in tunnels and in low light conditions, priority to pedestrians), and other traffic laws that prohibit dangerous driving. 3. When on the road, you must obey the directions and instructions of police officers and event staff. 4. Compact bikes and recumbents are allowed on public roads and may be used. Helmets must be worn. Bikes must have lights (headlights) and reflectors, and lights must be turned on when riding in the early morning and through tunnels. 5. Participants must not overtake the cycling leaders. Accompanying vehicles are also prohibited. 6. If you retire from the event for any reason, you must notify event staff. 7. Participation by minors requires the consent of a guardian 8. In the event of a traffic accident with another vehicle or participant, please immediately contact event headquarters and inform an event staff member. - Failure or refusal to obey and comply with the above event rules, and/or disobey instructions given by event staff, may result in disqualification or cancellation of your participation. |
