| Event Regulations | The regulations with which the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon applicants and participating runners must comply are established in the Event Regulations. 1. This event will be carried out while abiding to all domestic laws and regulations. 2. The Race Regulations, and Entry Regulations, in addition to the Event Regulations, will apply. 3. The event organizer will not be liable to any detriments caused by the followings: 3-1. Illness, communicable disease (including COVID-19) and/or accidents (excluding emergency treatment). 3-2. Loss and/or damage of personal property. 3-3. Late arrival to the race due to trouble with public transportation and/or poor road conditions. 4. In order to execute safe event, the event organizer will enforce traffic control in the vicinity of the event. 5. Runners are required to follow the instructions of the event organizer. Otherwise, will be disqualified from the participation in the event. 6. The course is certified by JAAF and World Athletics. We will not accept any claims against the course measurement or the distance based on personal devices, such as, GPS tracking device. Also, you may be disqualified for missing timing mat record and/or if short-cut is discovered. 7．The times will be recorded using BibTag attached to the back of the bib. Note, depending on external condition and influence, the timing may be affected. Note that there may be missing records due to environmental influence, and they are by no means 100% guaranteed that they will record all times. 8. Due to traffic, security, and race management, there will be a closing time at each checkpoint. Runners who fail to pass the checkpoint by the designated time will be asked to stop the race. In addition, runners who are extremely late at any point other than checkpoints will be asked to stop the race at the discretion of race officials. * Please refer to the Runner Handbook for checkpoint locations and closing times. 9.The organizers reserve the right to publish and control the images, photographs, articles, records, location information, runners' names, ages, and addresses (country, prefecture, or ward) that include the runners' appearance during the race on TV, newspapers, magazines, the Internet, etc. The organizer may provide such information to the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2024 co-sponsors, managing organization, operation support, supporting organizations, official Partners, as well as to various media for the purpose of compiling record rankings, etc., and the runners hereby consent to such use. 10. The event organizer, in recognition of the importance of protecting personal data, abides to all laws and ordinances concerning the protection of personal data, and adheres to the event organizer's privacy policy when handling personal data. 11. Medical first aid services provided at the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon will be as follows. 11-1) Medical stations will only be available during their respective opening hours. * Medical station in the National Stadium will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (provisional) * Medical stations on the course will be open from the time the first runner passes until approximately 15 minutes after the last runner passes. * Opening hours are provisional and subject to change. The closing time may also change depending on usage. 11-2) The scope of medical management at the medical station in the National Stadium is limited to runners inside the National Stadium and along the runner traffic lines designated by the organizer. * General restricted areas and runner traffic lines will be published in the Runner Handbook. 11-3) The organizer will take appropriate measures to deal with injuries and illnesses during the event to the extent possible on site. 11-4) If necessary, the patient will be transported to a hospital by ambulance or rescue vehicle. (Medical fees at the hospital will be borne by the patient.) Please note that if the patient refuses to be transported to a hospital, we may ask for the patient's consent in writing as a record of the patient's "refusal to be transported based on the patient's own will". 11-5) Compensation may be paid for injuries or illnesses that occur while participating in the event. * A medical certificate (original) from a doctor will be required. Please note that this is not an insurance to cover medical expenses (treatment expenses). 11-6) If the patient is transported to a hospital, we will be requesting the hospital to provide information on medical records. 11-7) During first aid responses, lifesaving activities will be given the highest priority and may be handled by the opposite sex. (Such as use of AED, chest compressions, and treatment at first aid stations.) |
| Race Regulations | The event organizer will not permit the participation in the event who is in violation of the event regulations, laws/regulations, or public order and morals, as well as the prohibitions specified in the following examples 1 through 12. If any of these are applicable to the participant, the event organizer will not allow the participant to join the race or prevent the participant from continuing the race, even after the start of the event. Any objection against its judgement will not be accepted. 1. Dressed in clothing or wearing a gear that may be dangerous, hurtful or cause other runners to fall; and/or running with the whole part of the face covered. 2. Dressed inappropriately for a sports event or in clothing that is unpleasant to other participants or spectators. 3. Clothing for the purpose of political or religious assertions or propaganda, as well as advertising. 4. Clothing for the purpose of promoting or advertising an individual name, a specific region or an organization that the event organizer does not acknowledge. 5. Use of articles that could cause other participants to mistakenly recognize as a starting signal and cause confusion to the race management, or use of a devices with strong sound volume that may disturb others. 6. Acts that causes a delay to the start of the event, such as, dancing, performance, playing instruments, standing near the start or finish lines, or in the streets along the course. 7. Soliciting monetary contributions, signatures, etc. 8. Preventing pedestrians from crossing the course or obstructing the passage of emergency vehicles at certain points, when and where they are allowed to do so. 9. Obstructing the race by failing to follow the instructions by the race officials and referees. 10. Bringing a guide runner not approved by the event organizer. Also, guide/support animal is not allowed. 11. Changing clothes in undesignated locations and/or urinating or defecating at places other than toilet facilities. 12. Occurrence of affair other than those listed in numbers 1 through 11 that the event organizer determine inappropriate for the event. |

| Entry Regulations | Failure to follow the regulations outlined below may result in denial of entry, revocation of entry, and disqualification from the event, with no refund of the event fee(s). In addition, future participation in the event will be prohibited. Please also note that if you are unable to make payment by credit card due to the global situation, you will not be able to register for (attend) the event because we will not be able to process your payment for the event fee. 1.To participate in the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon, you must first register with SPORTS ENTRY. A smartphone is also required for identification and security purposes. 2. Please refer to your My Page for entry status, selection results, event fee payment, Runner Handbook, results and more. 3. Multiple entries from same person are not allowed. If discovered, the entry will be revoked, and payments will not be returned, even if the discovery is discovered after the payment has been completed. Those who wish to support the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake relief efforts through the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon are asked to pay the entry fee of 13,700 yen (including a donation of 500 yen for the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake). All donations received will be sent to the Committee for the Distribution of Donations in the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster affected areas through the Japanese Red Cross Society. * Only ONE TOKYO premium member entries and general entries are eligible. * The purpose of this is to support the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake relief efforts, so it will not affect the lottery result. 5. If a false name, date of birth, sex, qualification time, or such is discovered, the participant will be disqualified and participation in the event will be rejected. Please make sure to review that all registered information is correct through My Page before completing your entry. If you wish to participate in the event as a JAAF registered runner, please make sure to complete your JAAF registration prior to entry and be sure to enter the correct information. If there are any issues, the event organizer may contact you by email or phone. 6. To apply for ONE TOKYO Premium Member Entry, you must be a ONE TOKYO Premium Member and enter your ONE TOKYO Membership Number. (Japan only) * You must apply for ONE TOKYO Premium Member Entry and enter your ONE TOKYO Membership Number when submitting your entry. * If you do not enter your ONE TOKYO Membership Number of enter it incorrectly, you will be deemed ineligible to participate and your ONE TOKYO Premium Member Entry will be rejected. * Entry and participation in the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon will not be reflected in your ONE TOKYO member information. 7. It is not permitted to change entry gates or start from a different corral. *The start corral will be set based on the time declared at the entry registration. *Please note that the corrals may be different even for the same declared time. 8. The organizer will not be held responsible for any late entry due to error caused by certain PCs, browsers, operating systems and/or poor Internet connectivity. 9. Email delivery check for the registered email address will not be conducted. Note, the organizer will not be responsible for any inconvenience or loss due to trouble with the device (malfunction), system/email setting, failure to receive email and/or change in email address. * Please make sure to update your email address through the My Page in case of address change. Depending on the situation, the My Page may not be accessible. In that case, please directly contact the entry desk. 10. Entry desk and administration office will not accept any contact regarding entry status and/or entry result. Please refer to the "My Page" page for your entry result status. 11. If payment is not received by the deadline, the entry will automatically be cancelled, and participation in the event will not be allowed. Also, entry right and bib may not be sold, auctioned or placed in the market, nor may they be used for campaign selling. If discovered, the entry will be revoked with no refund of the event fees (including donation). 12. Entry through a travel agencies not approved by the event organizer are not allowed. If discovered, the entry will be voided and the entry fee (including donation) will not be refunded. 13. Participation in the event by someone other than the registrant or a proxy is prohibited. Please be sure to bring valid photo ID to packet pick-up (held over 2 days prior to race day) to complete in-person verification. Failure to complete packet pick-up will result in removal from the event (no packet pick-up on race day). For reasons of security and such, please present your photo identification to the event organizer, whenever asked to do so. 14. All participants in the disability division must present a valid photo ID as well as a physical disability certificate or other proof of disability. 15. If the event is canceled, the entry fee will be refunded as follows. There will be no alternative options available, such as entry deferral or special treatment in a future event. * The 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Donation (500 JPY) is not refundable. 15-1. If the event is canceled by September 20, 2024 for the reasons listed below, 20% of the subject amount will be refunded. 15-1-1. Cancelled due to earthquake, snow storm, typhoon, and other natural disasters. 15-2. If the event is canceled following September 21, 2024 for the reasons listed below, 100% of the subject amount will be refunded. 15-2-1. Cancellation due to snowstorm, flood due to heavy rain, building destruction due to strong wind, lightning strike, tornado, and/or fire along or near the course, causing course blockage. 15-2-2. In the event of a cancellation due to a warning issued by a government agency to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government or one of its municipalities after Saturday, October 19, 2024, as a result of a typhoon making it unsafe for runners to participate. 15-2-3. When police or other government agencies order the cancellation of the course for reasons other than those listed in 14-2-1 & 14-2-2 above, and/or when the course is deemed unsafe due to physical obstacles. 15-2-4. Cancellation due to earthquake magnitude intensity 5 lower or more in Tokyo. 16. Excess payment, double payment, violation of the rules, and withdrawal of the entry at the participants' discretion do not qualify for a refund. There is no entry deferral or special treatment for a future event. |
