Competition rules | The marathon will comply with the rules of the 2022–2023 World Athletics, and FY2023 rules of the Japan Association of Athletics Federations, and of this event. As this is a WA-certified labelled event, WA Road Race Label Regulations and WA Advertising Regulations will also apply. Pursuant to the WA rules, doping tests will also be conducted. |

Personal information | The organizer recognizes the importance of personal information and complies with the laws and related acts on protection of personal information, managing personal information pursuant to the organizer's personal information protection policy. Additional stipulations regarding application | [Additional stipulations regarding application] ◎To apply for the event, participants are requested to read the following cautions thoroughly and apply after agreeing to the terms. *Please make sure to thoroughly read the '[Important] COVID responses and measures' in this notice. 1.Participants are deemed to have understood the terms of the event when they apply, and no change of competition category, cancellation, or refund of the participation fee will be accepted after applying, regardless of reason. 2.Participants are allowed to apply for one category only per person and cannot change the category after applying. Entry by falsified age, sex, records etc., and entry by another person (illegally competing) will not be accepted. If illegal personal or group entry is found, the entry will not just be cancelled but such persons or groups may not be allowed to reenter this event in the future. 3.No person other than the applicant may compete in the event or have the entry rights transferred. If such conduct is found, the person will lose their entry rights and the organizer will not compensate any claims. 4.Minors must apply upon consent from their parent/guardian. 5.If visually impaired participants are entering the event with their support runners, the support runners will be provided with special athlete bibs. Contact the Runner Call Center when you apply. 6.After applying, guidance about participation will be sent out in late March to runners whose entry is accepted. Athlete bibs and other accessories will be handed out on the day of the event. Wear the athlete bib on your chest. 7.Significant congestion is expected around the venue on the day of the event. Use public transport, shuttle bus etc., where possible. 8.The organizer will not be held responsible whatsoever for runners arriving late due to circumstances with public transport and road conditions. 9.Ahead of participation, train thoroughly and make sure you are in a fit physical condition such as by having a medical checkup beforehand. If you suspect any ailment, please participate after consulting your physician. 10.Although the organizer will provide first-aid for any injury or accident during the competition, it will not be held responsible for any injury or accident whatsoever except in the case of intentional or gross negligence by the organizer. In the case of minor negligence by the organizer, it will take responsibility within the limit provided by the accident insurance explained as follows. 11.The organizer will purchase the following accident insurance, however, anyone requiring additional compensation must buy their own insurance policy: Two million yen for death or physical impediment, 1,500 yen per day for hospital admission, and 1,000 yen per day for outpatient visits. 12.Hand luggage can be kept in specified places, but the organizer will not be held responsible for any theft, loss or disappearance of the luggage whatsoever except in the case of intentional or gross negligence by the organizer. In the case of minor negligence by the organizer, it shall take responsibility by covering the damage with an amount equal to the participation fee as the limit. 13.For safety, the order of starting will be determined by the time claimed by the participant at the time of application. Do not submit false claims as this disrupts safe event operation. Make sure to start from the specified block in accordance with the announcements and instructions by event officers. Anyone arriving later than the arrival time will start from the final block. Never jump the queue for any reason. 14.In case of emergencies such as an accident or fire during the event, emergency vehicles may take precedence and drive on the course. In such cases, follow the instructions from the police, firefighters and event officers. 15.No demonstrations or advertising using banners, placards etc. are allowed. If you are wearing a costume, make sure that it does not violate public order and follows the guidelines (see the event website) provided by the organizer. Runners not following the instructions of the staff may not be allowed to race and their participation fee will not be refunded. 16.Take home all your garbage. 17.The participation fee will not be refunded whatsoever if the event is downsized or cancelled for reasons not attributed to the organizer such as an earthquake, gale, flood, snow, fire, incident, accident, and illness. 18.The details of the entry information may be used in Chunichi Shimbun articles about this event. 19.The rights to post videos, photos, articles, and records from during the event, and the names, age, addresses (country, prefecture, or city/town/village) of the applicants to television, newspapers, magazines, the Internet etc., and the applicants' portrait rights to such media belong to the organizer. 20.Regarding the provision of data to the Japan Association of Athletics Federations RunLink age ranking. This marathon is a participant of the RunLink age ranking organized by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (a time-based ranking for all official events: the ranking contains the results of all participating runners, including elite runners). In addition to the runner’s address (at the prefecture, city level), their name, bib number, date of birth, sex, net time/gross time and place are provided as data. Please contact the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (Email: runlink@jaaf.or.jp) if wish for your information to be removed from the ranking. 21.Photos about the event may be marketed to the public (including cases where such sales are consigned to vendors.) 22.The organizer will manage the participants' personal information in compliance with the act for protecting personal information. 23.The event will be held pursuant to the terms for application above, and cautions provided separately by the organizer. |
[Important] COVID responses and measures | Read the following carefully and agree to the terms before applying. (1)COVID measures by the event This event will evaluate and implement appropriate measures against infectious diseases for event circumstances, referring to cautions etc. (such as submitting health check sheets, testing, and taking temperatures on the day of the event) provided by the government, the Japan Sports Agency, and the Japan Association of Athletics Federations. Persons not satisfying entry criteria specified by the event, such as showing a fever, may not be allowed to race or enter the venue. Participation fee will not be refunded in such cases. *The specific "entry criteria" will be announced as soon as determined, on the official webpage, emails to participating runners, etc. (2)Participation requirements Runners who refuse to wear a mask, sanitize hands, or follow the code of conduct as specified by the event may not be allowed to participate in the event. Participation fee will not be refunded in such cases. (3)Switching to an online half marathon If the event cannot go ahead as normal, such as by the government and municipality restricting the event, an online half marathon will be held to substitute the entire or part of the marathon (by lottery, etc.) engaging runners that satisfy the terms. Participation fee will not be refunded in such cases. (4)Handling of personal information The event organizer may hand in personal information in an appropriate manner to public service institutions if and only if when public service institutions request such information to prevent the spread of COVID. (5)Items provided in this guideline The items in this guideline may be lifted, added, or changed according to the level of COVID infections. |
