Held in one of Japan's premier resorts in Okinawa. The venue is also a popular beach with locals.
One of the few 10km swim events in Japan.
This is an early summer open water swimming event held in a subtropical seaside resort in Okinawa. There are four distances: 1.5 km, 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km.
The 10km race is one of the few long distance swim races in Japan.
In Okinawa, early June is the rainy season. Both the average air and water temperature is around 25 ℃.
Chatan is home to a US military base ad the local area is a mix of American culture with western influence. There are shopping malls, which are popular with tourists on weekends.

| Eligible entrants | "Anyone who is mentally and physically healthy, and regularly swim trains can participate. Any person with a history of medical condition/existing illness (eg visceral disease, heart disease, respiratory diseases etc.) can not participate. You will need to submit a health declaration form at registration declaring your current health condition. (You may be asked provide a medical certificate from a doctor.) On the day of the race, participants will be required to fill in a health questionnaire. Participants who are third grade elementrary school or younder will need an accompanying aide. Entry fee will not apply to the aide. However, please note that the accompanying aide will not be eligible for prizes/placing. Age categories. Age is determined by your age you will be on 31 Dec 2017. (1) Elementary students - 14 years (2)15 - 19 years (3)20-29 years (4)30-39 years (5)40-49 years (6)50-59 years (7) 60 years and older You may only select one age category. You cannot choose multiple categories Wetsuits and rash guards are allowed to be worn in the swim race. | Rules and regulations | [Health and physical condition] (1) on race day, as a result of a participant's health condition, the race organizer may decide whether a an individual can participate or not [Transport details] (1) please use public transport. The race organization committee does not accept any responsibilities for delay caused by public transportation, traffic or road conditions, nor any refund or reimbursement of expenses occurred due to transport. (2) Participants are to bear all transportation fees to and between each venues. (3) If coming by car, please use public parking facilities [Insurance] (1) Upon completing the entry application, participants will be enrolled in the insurance coverage provided by the race organiser .(the insurance fee is included in the entry registration fee) Accident insurance Coverage: Death / Disability up to 5 million yen, Hospitalization: 3000 yen per day in hospital, hospital outpatient 2000 yen per day If you think the above insurance allowances are insufficient, please take out your own insurance coverage. (2) I consent to receiving medical treatment for injury or illness suffered during the event. Depending on the injury or illness and cause, the event insurance may cover some of the treatment. Announcements may be made by direct email, contacting team representatives, or an announcement on the website. | Application terms | Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before applying and registering. Application details Register at your own responsbility and risk to health. Race entry deadline may close earlier if race capacity is reached. Registration is completed when payment whas been made. For this reason, if you register close to the registration deadline, and payment has not yet ben made, you may not be eligible to participate and there is a chance you may be placed on the waitlist. Duplicate application by the same person is not allowed. Minors aged under 20 (as at 31 December 2017) will require the consent of a parent or guardian to participate. Minors who wish to participate in this event should fully understand the terms and conditions and their legal guardian/parents’ must sign and submit the Minors' Participation Consent Form and send it by post. Based on the privacy policy for this event, personal information collected is used only for the application procedure and in the carrying out of this event, and will not be used for other any purpose. ・ Please ensure you have plenty of time for travel to and from the event, especially for participants coming from further afield and via Naha Airport. Weather and road congestion can cause disruption to travel plans on the island. Application deadline Last date of registration period is 23:59 pm 3rd Apr 2017. When race capacity is reached, it will be announced on the website. Delivery of race information Participation confirmation and race information details will be mailed to participants. (We will send to the team representative or individual.) ・ The race organizer shall not be responsible for missed delivery, lost, or delayed delivery by the postal service to the participants of information in relation to the event ・ We will not post information to participants outside of Japan. Please print out the e-mail issued from the event organizer in advance and bring it with you on race day. Refund procedure If a participant wishes to cancel their application after having completed registration, please contact/notify the race organsier by email. After receipt of the email, the race committee will contact you by phone with instructions regarding the cancellation procedure. However, please note refunds will not be made until after 15 April 2017. Please note a refund processing fee of 1000yen per race will apply. Refunds will be made to your nominated bank account. A participant is able to cancel their registration until 11:59pm on 3 April 2017. Please note that only 50% of the entry fee will be refunded. The option menu entry fee will be 100% refunded. However, please note refunds will not be made until after 15 April 2017. Please note a refund processing fee of 1000yen per race will apply. Refunds will be made to your nominated bank account. The option menu entry fee will be refund 100%. Please note a refund processing fee of 500 yen per option menu will apply. When participant cancel the option menu with race registration, refund processing of option menu fee is free. Changes to race event type ・ Participants may change their race event type up until 23:59 3 April 2017. Please make any changes on the entry site. Please note the price difference in entry fees will not be refunded. No changes to the race event you wish to compete in will be permissible after 4 April. Image rights ・ Participants acknowledge and consent to photographs and electronic images being taken of them before, during, or after the event by race staff. The race organiser reserves the right and ownership to use any footage taken during the course of the race including videos, photos, articles, recordings, reports, magazines, internet, advertisements etc. Participants are deemed to have understood and consent to the above. The race organisers may take video footage and photos during the course of the event, including of participants which may be broadcast in various media outlets in Okinawa including on TV, magazines, website, posters, pamphlets etc. Race results ・Participation in this event means that you agree to the publishing of your race results (which will be recorded in the "Result Book"). Please ensure you have plenty of time for travel to and from the event, especially for participants coming from further afield, via Naha Airport.
